In2Future Boot Camp: towards an ecology of heritage practices

A week in Évora to think about heritage: call for participation deadline now extended!

16/02/2024 (updated 21/03/2024)

Experimentation, immersion, collaboration, sharing, reflection… The In2Future Boot Camp arrived. A whole week in Évora, with IN2PAST in charge of travel and accommodation expenses, for PhD candidates from the seven research units which make up the associate laboratory to think about heritage looking into the future.

IN2PAST’s first Doctoral School will take place from May 18th until the 24th, 2024, in association with Festival Imaterial, which runs from May 17th until the 25th, and Évora 27 – European Capital of Culture. It was designed so that our PhD students can develop a critical and holistic perspective regarding the practices of conservation, restoration or revitalization of heritage, from the study of the conception of a given “object” as heritage, to the design of practices and policies associated with its safeguard, thus contributing “to an ecology of heritage practices”.

If you are a doctoral candidate from one of the seven research units that make up our associate laboratory, you can and should apply until April 2nd, 23:59 (Lisbon time), by filling out this form. The idea is to create connections and interactions between different institutions within a transdisciplinary work environment, and participants are expected to take the experience and results of the boot camp back to their units.
