A recruitment procedure is open to hire an Assistant Researcher to carry out activities in the field of Heritage Sciences, including management tasks and search for new funding, at IN2PAST – Associate Laboratory, a position listed on the personnel map of University of Évora under the modality of a public employment contract for an indefinite period – contrato de trabalho em funções públicas por tempo indeterminado.

job summary/ Profile

  • Contributing to the implementation and development of IN2PAST;
  • Holding a curriculum profile in the field of Heritage Sciences;
  • Supporting the development of public policies in the areas of activity of IN2PAST and the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically in achieving SDG4 – Quality Education and SDG11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities;
  • Developing an active policy of identifying opportunities for external funding;
  • Promoting the articulation between IN2PAST’s research units (RUs);
  • Promoting the articulation between IN2PAST and its RUs affiliated with UÉvora;
  • Demonstrating availability to energize research groups on thematic lines or RUs;
  • Developing and promoting the creation of projects dedicated to the research of heritage assets;
  • Developing and promoting the creation of multidisciplinary research projects that link Natural Sciences, Humanities, Arts or Social Sciences;
  • Collaborating in the teaching developed at the University of Évora in the areas of Heritage Sciences and Archaeometry.

Salary

Gross monthly remuneration corresponds to index 195, level 1 of the category of Assistant Researcher as mentioned in annex I of the Scientific Research Career Statute, approved by Decree-Law No. 124/99 of April 20.
