3rd Congress on Public History in Portugal

In a third congress attended by students from the 11th grade Visual Arts class G at Amora Secondary School (ESA, in the Portuguese acronym of Escola Secundária de Amora), in Seixal, Greater Lisbon, among dozens of participants which included researchers, representatives of associations from different sectors, social movements and trade unions, we share some portraits from the first day of work.
The 3rd Congress of Public History in Portugal was held on 5 and 6 June 2025 at A Voz do Operário, Graça, Lisbon, dedicated to associativism and social movements, and to collaborative practices between science and citizenship.
The students were co-authors of the coomunication titled Making Portugal at Amora Secondary School: collaborative methodologies in the implementation of an exploratory project, presented by Giuseppina Raggi, researcher at CES – UC, Rosa Botequilha, teacher and coordinator of ESA’s School Cultural Project, Gabriela Benavente, teacher and coordinator of ESA’s Citizenship Education Strategy, and the students, and which was part of the ‘Co-creation and community participation’ panel.
