The mural paintings by Júlio Pomar for the Batalha movie theatre, in Porto (1947), are the starting point for the second talk of the series ‘Imagem e Revolução’ (‘Image and Revolution’). It happens on July 11th, at 5 pm, at Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar, in Lisbon.
IHA – NOVA FCSH / IN2PAST researchers Begoña Farré Torras, Cristina Pratas Cruzeiro and Sónia Moura, and CHAM – NOVA FCSH researcher Margarida Rendeiro are presenting, moderated by IHA researcher and director of Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar Sara Antónia Matos.
This series of talks is co-organized by the Atelier and IHA – NOVA FCSH / IN2PAST, as part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of ’25 de Abril’. It includes three more talks, one of which already happened, on June 27th. Two others are scheduled for October 3rd and October 17th, covering the topics of Plastic Arts and Museums.
