Project 2LEGACY was at the 37th Estremoz International Agricultural Fair FIAPE/ 41st Estremoz Craft Fair, between April 30th and May 4th, to share the work being done regarding the role of endogenous clay in traditional ceramics production.

PI Mathilda Coutinho, conservation scientist at HERCULES – University of Évora / IN2PAST, represented the team at the stand of local pottery association ADOE (Associação Dinamizadora da Olaria de Estremoz), in the fair and exhibition park Eng. André de Brito Tavares of this city in Alentejo.

FIAPE is geared towards the socio-economic and touristic valorisation of the municipality of Estremoz and the ‘Marble Zone’, with various exhibitions of the most economically important activities in the region. The Estremoz Craft Fair has more than a hundred artisans and craftspeople working live with a variety of materials, including clay, cork, wood, lace, marble, wicker, glass or jewellery.
