In addition to technicians from the D. Diogo de Sousa Museum of Archaeology, the Summer School ‘Analytical Techniques and Digital Technologies in the Context of Archaeological Excavation’ brought together students from Archaeology and Conservation and Restoration courses at national universities, including the Universities of Minho, Porto, Coimbra, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa and Universidade Católica, as well as the University of Santiago de Compostela (Lugo, Spain), Universitat Rovira I Virgili (Tarragona, Spain) and the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (Brazil).
This Summer School, which started on Monday, July 15th and ends today, at the D. Diogo de Sousa Museum, in Braga, was promoted by HERCULES – University of Évora with the collaboration of members of Lab2PT – University of Minho / IN2PAST and technicians from the Museum. The activities took place on a daily basis, bringing together a total of around 30 participants, from different academic backgrounds, from undergraduate to doctoral level.
According to HERCULES officials, in view of the high demand among trainees, a new edition of the school is planned for the near future.
