An international selection procedure is open at Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa for 1 (one) employment position in the category of Principal Researcher governed by private law, on an exclusive basis, in the scientific area of Anthropology, under the programme-contract signed with FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, I. P. following approval in the Call Stimulus for Institutional Scientific Employment – Associate Laboratories (CEEC LA ref. CEECINSTLA/00039/2022) for IN2PAST – Associate Laboratory for Research and Innovation in Heritage, Arts, Sustainability and Territory, in the field of critical heritage studies.

The offer is for an individual employment contract for an indefinite period (contrato individual de trabalho por tempo indeterminado), concluded under the terms of the Portuguese Labour Code, the Regulation for Research, Science and Technology Staff of Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (Regulation No. 872/2024), published in Diário da República, 2nd series, number 153 of 8 August 2024, and other applicable legislation and regulations.

Gross monthly pay is €3,867.03, corresponding to index 220 of the Principal Researcher category as in the table of annex 1 of Regulation No. 872/2024. This procedure is open for the time limit of fifteen calendar days counted from the day immediately after that of the publication of this Public Notice in Diário da República.

Activities to be pursued:

Participating in the design, development and implementation of research and development projects and associated scientific and technical activities;
Supervising the work developed within the projects under their responsibility;
Collaborating in the development of training actions within the scope of the research and development methodology;
Monitoring the research work pursued by the research grant-holders and assistants and participating in their training;
Supervising and participating in the institution’s training programmes;
Rendering the lecturing service assigned by the institution’s competent bodies;
Supervising master’s final projects, master’s dissertations and doctoral theses;
Performing the duties for which they have been elected or appointed, and participating in Iscte’s collegiate bodies’ sessions.

Salary

Gross monthly pay is €3,867.03, corresponding to index 220 of the Principal Researcher category as in the table of annex 1 of Regulation No. 872/2024.
