The inaugural moment of IN2PAST’s initiative ‘Investigar para Expor’ (‘To Research in order to Exhibit’) takes place on February 15th at m|i|mo – museu da imagem em movimento (Moving Image Museum), in Leiria. On this day, the programme, open to the public and researchers from the Associate Laboratory, invites reflection on different curatorial and exhibition practices that activate and feed on critical and collaborative research processes.

The initiative also seeks to promote direct contact with the non-academic places where research is presented and carried out. The programme begins in the morning with a guided tour of the ‘Artistas na Fábrica’ (‘Artists in the Factory’) exhibition, led by curators and IN2PAST researchers Raquel Henriques da Silva (IHA – NOVA FCSH) and Emília Margarida Marques (CRIA – Iscte). In the afternoon, based on two recent exhibitions, we invite you to the first talk ‘Investigar para Expor’ (‘To Research in order to Exhibit’), with the participation of both curators and IN2PAST researchers Fátima Moura Ferreira and Mariana Pinto dos Santos.
