The importance and practical scope of research carried out in Heritage Sciences, taking as a case study the mural paintings by José de Almada Negreiros at Gare Marítima da Rocha do Conde d’Óbidos, in Lisbon, will be the focus of HERCULES / IN2PAST researcher Milene Gil’s talk at first session of the 5th International Series of Videoconferences ‘When Science and Technology Intersect with Arts and Literature’.
The CityUMacau Chair in Sustainable Heritage of the University of Évora researcher and project ALMADA coordinator will present the problem at hand, the campaigns undertaken, the results of on-site and ongoing laboratory analyses, as well as concerns and warnings shared with the conservation and restoration team in order to outline the best intervention strategy, promoted by the World Monuments Fund (WMF).
