Scientific Council

    • The Scientific Council (SC) is composed by all IN2PAST’s integrated researchers holding a PhD;
    • The SC approves the creation and extinction of IN2PAST’s Thematic Lines;
    • The SC approves IN2PAST’s scientific strategy and watches over its implementation, namely by voting on guidelines issued by its Coordinating Committee.

Scientific Council Coordinating Committee

  • Composed by the President of the Scientific Council (SC); by a representative from each of the RUs that make up IN2PAST; by one of the coordinators of each of IN2PAST’s Thematic Lines (TLs), or another member of the TL appointed by them; by the President and Vice-presidents of the IN2PAST Board;
  • The Coordinating Committee ratifies the Board’s proposals for TL coordinators.

  • The Ethics Committee shall pronounce itself and intervene in issues relating to interpersonal relationships in research contexts and aims to support and advise researchers whenever they are faced with dilemmas and doubts in matters relating to research ethics.

Internal Evaluation Committee

  • The Internal Evaluation Committee performs evaluation and advisory functions;
  • It is composed by selected external experts and personalities, working mainly for foreign institutions, with recognised scientific competence in the area of activity of IN2PAST;
  • It is responsible for analysing the regular operation of IN2PAST and issuing any reports it deems appropriate, particularly regarding the annual activities’ plans and reports.

Strategic Forum

  • The Strategic Forum is the centre of an institutional ecosystem in the areas of cultural heritage, arts and collective memory, and may include affiliated institutions of different natures;
