New content areas and functionality

IN2PAST website renewed and in Portuguese

More and better information, intuitive and dynamic navigation

23/01/2026

For two years (2023-25), the IN2PAST website was only available in English. Now, all content, both new and archived, is finally available in Portuguese. In addition, we have refreshed the design and restructured the organisation of contents to make navigation more intuitive and dynamic. We have also added new content, including sections that did not previously exist, such as R&D Projects, In2Society and IN2PAST Publications.

In the Advanced Studies area, we have added pages referring to the recently created IN2PAST PhD Network and the In2Future Boot Camp, the annual Doctoral School organised by our associate laboratory. The more than 20 doctoral programmes available at the five universities participating in IN2PAST, and with which we are associated, are now easier to search for, through a dedicated page.

In the new In2Society area, you will find information regarding extension activities of our associate laboratory in collaboration with non-scientific entities, partners, and other agents in the fields of Cultural Heritage, Arts, and Collective Memory, who may also use the new contact form to communicate with us. This is also where we will publish our policy papers, short reports with recommendations, or proposals for future guidance, on public policy matters.

Publicações IN2PAST is the new publishing house of the Associate Laboratory for Research and Innovation in Heritage, Arts, Sustainability and Territory, which currently plans to launch three book collections: Good Practice Guides, Case Studies and the IN2PAST/National Library Books.

Under R&D Projects, you will now find summary information about some of the long-term projects we are, have been or will be involved in. We have also repositioned our Media Kit (logo, visual identity tools and graphic standards manual, and an image bank still under construction) and other useful documents and materials for researchers, journalists and partners, in the new Resources area.

At the bottom right of the browser window, you will find the new language switcher, which allows you to alternate between Portuguese and English easily and seamlessly. Explore the new features and enjoy!
