Associate Laboratory IN2PAST will be present at the NOVA FCSH Research and Innovation Day 2025 (Dia da Investigação e Inovação da NOVA FCSH – DII’25), on November 11, at Colégio Almada Negreiros (Campolide campus), Lisbon. This year’s theme is ‘Investigação nos eixos’, which literally translates to ‘Research on the axes’ but is a pun with the Portuguese expression for ‘to put something/ somebody back on track’ (‘colocar nos eixos’).
The axes in question are the five major guidelines of strategic cohesion in the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan of the School of Social and Human Sciences of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa: Society and Politics; Media, Communication and Languages; Sustainable Territory and Environment; Arts and Humanities; Memory and Heritage. DII’25 aims to highlight the diversity of research carried out at NOVA FCSH within the scope of the five strategic cohesion axes.
IN2PAST takes part in the exhibition ‘Research in Images’, on its own behalf and through the research centres based at NOVA FCSH that are part of the associate lab consortium, namely the Centre for Music Studies (CESEM), the Centre for Research in Anthropology (CRIA), the Institute of Art History (IHA) and the Institute of Contemporary History (IHC).
Several researchers in this vast team participate in three of the five paralel sessions (10 – 11:45 am): Amélia Frazão Moreira (CRIA – NOVA FCSH / IN2PAST), Henrique Oliveira (IHC – NOVA FCSH / IN2PAST), Margarida Brito Alves (IHA – NOVA FCSH / IN2PAST), Sofia Victorino (IHC – NOVA FCSH / IN2PAST), Sónia Mota Ribeiro (CRIA – NOVA FCSH / IN2PAST) and Manuel Pedro Ferreira (CESEM – NOVA FCSH / IN2PAST).
At 11:45 am there will be a debate with the new Board of the school, who took office on July 17. Alexandra Curvelo (IHA – NOVA FCSH / IN2PAST), Head of the college, and Deputy Director for Research Sónia Vespeira de Almeida (CRIA – NOVA FCSH / IN2PAST) will open the event at 9:30 am.
