A utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o do radar de penetra\u00e7\u00e3o no solo (GPR) para a dete\u00e7\u00e3o geof\u00edsica do subsolo esteve no centro da segunda campanha de trabalho de campo de projeto \u2018S\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o de Calvos\u2019<\/a>, realizada em 24, 25 e 26 de mar\u00e7oth<\/sup>, O estudo foi efectuado em 2025, no local da igreja, em Guimar\u00e3es, no Norte de Portugal. A t\u00e9cnica foi utilizada \u2018para identificar a presen\u00e7a de poss\u00edveis enterramentos por baixo ou \u00e0 volta da igreja, atrav\u00e9s da constru\u00e7\u00e3o de um modelo geof\u00edsico da subsuperf\u00edcie, que pode ser integrado com o levantamento tridimensional de todo o edif\u00edcio\u2019, explica o investigador principal (PI) Fabio Sitzia<\/a> (HERCULES - Universidade de \u00c9vora \/ IN2PAST).\u00a0<\/p>

A equipa no terreno procedeu ao trabalho de recolha de dados t\u00e9cnico-cient\u00edficos e hist\u00f3rico-arquitect\u00f3nicos no local come\u00e7ou em novembro<\/a>, O projeto tem como objetivo a digitaliza\u00e7\u00e3o completa da igreja rural de estilo rom\u00e2nico com base no Heritage - Building Information Modelling (H-BIM). A microfotogrametria foi efectuada em partes das paredes exteriores suscept\u00edveis de sofrerem altera\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas\u2018, exemplifica o IP. Foi ainda efectuada a monitoriza\u00e7\u00e3o fotogram\u00e9trica de fracturas pr\u00e9-existentes, \u2019em particular a que afecta a arquitrave da fachada poente\u2018, detalha Fabio, de modo a \u2019obter um mapa de fissuras \u00fatil para futuros trabalhos de restauro\u2018.\u00a0<\/p>

Durante a primeira campanha de trabalho de campo, foram realizados levantamentos ultra-s\u00f3nicos das paredes da igreja, bem como a identifica\u00e7\u00e3o da qualidade e proveni\u00eancia dos materiais p\u00e9treos utilizados, e o estudo de unidades estratigr\u00e1ficas para melhor compreender as fases de constru\u00e7\u00e3o da igreja. Desta vez, os investigadores continuaram a identifica\u00e7\u00e3o dos materiais de constru\u00e7\u00e3o e das fases construtivas, utilizaram a t\u00e9cnica de varrimento laser LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) para o levantamento do interior da capela-mor e da ara romana reutilizada como p\u00e9 do altar e recolheram amostras de pinturas para an\u00e1lise laboratorial.<\/p>

Este projeto explorat\u00f3rio IN2PAST, denominado \u2018As igrejas rurais de estilo rom\u00e2nico em Portugal: Um primeiro passo para a digitaliza\u00e7\u00e3o integral pelo Patrim\u00f3nio-BIM - O caso de S. Jo\u00e3o de Calvos (Guimar\u00e3es, s\u00e9c.
