O novo livro de Rahul Rao<\/a>, The Psychic Lives of Statues: Reckoning with the Rubble of Empire,<\/em>, \u00e9 apresentado no dia 28 de mar\u00e7o, \u00e0s 18 horas, na livraria Tigre de Papel<\/a> , em Lisboa, com um debate com o autor, o historiador Sanjay Seth<\/a> e o historiador de arte Afonso Dias Ramos<\/a>, investigador do IHA \u2013 NOVA FCSH \/ IN2PAST.<\/p>

The Psychic Lives of Statues<\/a><\/em> \u00e9 \"uma explora\u00e7\u00e3o das controv\u00e9rsias globais sobre est\u00e1tuas\", resume a editora Pluto Press, com Rao a levar-nos \"numa viagem atrav\u00e9s da \u00c1frica do Sul, Inglaterra, EUA, Gana, \u00cdndia, Austr\u00e1lia e Esc\u00f3cia, revelando como as controv\u00e9rsias sobre est\u00e1tuas reorganizaram drasticamente o c\u00e2none do pensamento pol\u00edtico anticolonial.\"<\/p>

Rahul Rao \u00e9 professor de Pensamento Pol\u00edtico Internacional na Escola de Rela\u00e7\u00f5es Internacionais da Universidade de St Andrews, na Esc\u00f3cia, onde Sanjay Seth \u00e9 professor de Teoria P\u00f3s-colonial e Pensamento Pol\u00edtico. Organizado pelo IN2PAST, este encontro p\u00fablico faz parte da programa\u00e7\u00e3o de mar\u00e7o da Tigre de Papel. A entrada \u00e9 livre, sujeita \u00e0 lota\u00e7\u00e3o do espa\u00e7o.<\/p>

Rahul Rao e Sanjay Seth deslocam-se a Portugal no \u00e2mbito de uma iniciativa conjunta entre o Laborat\u00f3rio Associado IN2PAST e a Universidade de St Andrews para preparar futuros projetos internacionais. Esta iniciativa, que levou Afonso Dias Ramos e Mariana Pinto dos Santos<\/a>, igualmente investigadora do IHA \u2013 NOVA FCSH \/ IN2PAST, \u00e0 universidade escocesa no final de janeiro, conta com o apoio do Research Innovation Scotland International Collaboration Fund<\/a>, que \"visa promover liga\u00e7\u00f5es entre a Esc\u00f3cia e parceiros de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o europeus, com o objetivo de refor\u00e7ar rela\u00e7\u00f5es cient\u00edficas existentes e futuras, e de criar vias para o financiamento da investiga\u00e7\u00e3o europeia\".\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
